❌ WHAT TEMPLATES TO AVOID

A. Avoid Generic Templates

Examples to Avoid:

  • "I have a beautiful image in front of me. Let me have a closer look at it..."
  • "The given image represents a beautiful image. There must have been a popular debate..."

B. Avoid Keyword Templates

Examples to Avoid:

  • "This image gives information about keyword 1."
  • "The image also shows keyword 2."
  • "The image emphasizes keyword 3."
  • "The image illustrates keyword 4."
  • "The image delineates facts about keyword 5."

C. Avoid Repetitive Templates

Examples to Avoid:

  • "The image says... It says... It says..."
  • "The image talks about ____."
  • "It also talks about ____."
  • "Here, it also says ____."
  • "Also, it represents ____."
  • "In conclusion, the image talks about ____."

❓ COMMON DOUBTS

  1. Are you sure the above template works?
→ Yes, numerous students have scored 90 using this template, so don’t worry

  2. What if I use another template? Can I still get good marks?
→ Any template is fine as long as it provides structure. However, if you fumble, your score will drop. Each fumble reduces your score by 2 marks

  3. If I use the above template, will I get 90?
→ No, the Describe Image task gives a maximum of 30 marks. You will get 30/30 if you avoid fumbling

  4. How do I practice Describe Image?
→ Check the "Speaking" folder → "Describe Image" section for various types of practice questions

  5. What happens if I exceed 40 seconds and abruptly end my speech?
→ Don’t exceed 30–35 seconds. The template usually takes 30–35 seconds to complete. Click 'Next' immediately once you finish. If you still exceed 40 seconds, there is absolutely no problem

  6. Should I use same template for all images?
→ YES. No need to change the structure

❌ COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

  • Giving only keywords: Pearson have clearly mentioned in their website not to use keywords alone and it can be flagged by AI for manual intervention. Make sentences and speak
  • Speaking for less than 20 seconds: speak for at least 25–30 seconds
  • Rushing: Don’t rush. Keep a comfortable, steady speed
  • Checking 3rd Party Scores: Avoid using non-Pearson apps for scores; they won’t match Pearson’s accuracy
  • Speaking with generic templates: don’t use generic templates. Use only structure as given above
  • Misinterpretations: If you accidentally misinterpret any information, just keep going. There’s no need to correct it; simply continue without interruption

Another interesting point is that the remaining pets—birds, reptiles, small animals, freshwater fish, saltwater fish, and horses—have almost equal ownership, around 2% to 8% each.
